HSA PrimeCare Development Drexel Town Square Health Center Recognized in IB Madison’s Commercial Design Awards

This week, In Business Madison announced the winners of its 11th annual Commercial Design Awards. In the category of Best New Development or Renovation in Healthcare, the judges selected HSA PrimeCare’s recent development, the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Drexel Town Square Health Center in Oak Creek, Wisc.

The 109,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility was completed in November of last year and opened to the public in January. The center offers a wide spectrum of services including primary care, specialty care, urgent care, as well as an outpatient surgery center and full-service cancer center. Imaging, lab, and a retail pharmacy are also available onsite.

The judges described the facility as providing “warmth” and “coziness” and note design elements that were included to create a calming environment for patients.

Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Drexel Town Square Health Center offers a variety of imaging services.

“If you look at the images, it looks like great care was given to the [patient’s] experience of this building,” said one of the judges. “If you are in a scan or an MRI or whatever, the only real impact you have is what you see when you look up. They took care to provide a pleasant ceiling there.”

“They created some elements that were a little bit more creative and playful in an environment that isn’t necessarily a fun place for people,” stated another judge. “It’s a nice way to make those spaces a little bit more humane in places that are otherwise not the most fun to be in.”

HSA PrimeCare and USAA Real Estate Company Acquire 45,722 SF Medical Office Building in Plymouth, MN

The joint-venture equity fund established by USAA Real Estate and HSA PrimeCare, the national healthcare real estate division of Chicago-based HSA Commercial Real Estate, announced the acquisition of a 45,722 square-foot medical office building in Plymouth, Minnesota. The building is well-situated in the prominent western suburb of Minneapolis, within Plymouth’s City Center, which features abundant community amenities including an ice-skating arena, Lifetime Fitness, a movie theater, and other shopping, restaurants, and public services.

Built in 2014, this class-A medical building is anchored by North Clinic, a large, independent physician group that occupies the full first floor. With five locations and over 80 physicians, North Clinic is a leading primary care and women’s healthcare services provider in the market. Institute for Athletic Medicine, a joint-venture between North Memorial Health and Fairview Hospital, is another premier medical provider in the building. Institute for Athletic Medicine offers orthopedic and sports rehabilitation services.

(CHICAGO) USAA Real Estate Company (“USAA RealCo”) and HSA PrimeCare, the national healthcare real estate division of Chicago-based HSA Commercial Real Estate, today announced the formation of a joint venture to acquire and develop outpatient healthcare real estate assets across 11 states throughout the Midwest. Together with this announcement, the new joint venture also made its first acquisition, of a 97,375-square-foot portfolio of medical office assets located in northwest Indiana and in Tinley Park, Ill., a suburb southwest of Chicago.
